Domestic Assistance
Support for a safer, more manageable home
Maintaining a clean and safe home environment is essential for health, wellbeing, and independence. Domestic Assistance is a vital support offered to Aged Care, NDIS, insurance compensation scheme, community services and fee-for-service clients.
This service is designed to help people remain living safely and comfortably in their own homes for as long as possible or until they have recovered from illness or injury. It provides practical support with everyday household tasks that may have become difficult to manage alone.
We offer assistance with tasks such as general cleaning, laundry, bed-making, unaccompanied shopping, depending on your individual care plan. Services are tailored to your needs and goals, and delivered with respect, reliability, and professionalism.
For Aged Care recipients and NDIS participants, there are government rules and guidelines that service providers must follow when providing subsidised services to clients, including Work Health & Safety considerations for direct-care workers. Because of these legal considerations, some tasks are generally not available from providers who use their own staff to provide the service due to individual business policy, legislation and government guidelines.
As an independent business, Flair For Care can offer additional tasks, supports and services when providing this core service. We can offer this because we have designed our business to provide this service in a different way, through supports like our Help Around The Home Initiative (HATHI).
Domestic assistance services for Aged Care and NDIS clients are specifically funded to provide assistance with light tasks inside the home to enable the client to live comfortably and safely within their home. Clients must also be at home for this service to take place as it is an assistive support, not a ‘do-for’ support. Flair For Care structures this service the same way for our community services, insurance compensation and fee-for-service clients as well.
This domestic assistance service is structured for and charged hourly (maximum shift hours apply) inline with government-funded requirements, whereas our fee-for-service Housekeeping & Lifestyle services are package priced. If a housekeeping & lifestyle service would better suit your needs and situation instead of this domestic assistance service, please see our Housekeeping & Lifestyle service section.
