General Consumer Services

Flair For Care provides a range of Home & Community supports and services that can be tailor made to suit your needs on a casual or recurring basis. We also offer concessional pricing for those that hold a Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card. Please see our “who we are” section to read more about us, our principal’s qualifications and the areas we service.

Below are some of the supports and services we can offer you. We have 4 core service categories – domestic support, social support, personal care and advocacy & wellbeing. We do offer premises & property services, however, these services are not part of our core services.

Domestic Support Services

We provide domestic support services such as:

  • Housekeeping, dishwashing, laundry and ironing
  • Meal preparation, cooking and assistance
  • Shopping and errands (accompanied or unaccompanied)
  • Time Management – make and organise appointments or meetings and create reminders (paper or digital form)
  • Create, organise and prioritise to-do lists or wish lists to be completed over recurring services
  • Home Administration Assistance – paying bills, online shopping and other purchases, sort and action mail and other paperwork, assistance to fill in forms, create computerised documents, bookkeeping, download computer software, computer work
  • Basic home maintenance (changing light bulbs, tightening fittings and fixtures etc) and internal window cleaning
  • Decluttering, organising and rubbish removal
  • Light gardening and yard work
  • Pet care services (feeding, exercising, taking to the vet, refreshing kitty litters etc)
  • Other domestic support services as required
Social Support Services

We provide social support services such as:

  • Transport to shopping, appointments, friend or family visits, social or community activities
  • Accompanied Recreational Support (ARS) such as accompanying clients on walks, swimming (public areas only) and other low-risk activities
  • Transporting and accompanying to medical appointments such as hospitals, specialists, doctors, radiology, blood/urine collection centres, vaccinations etc
  •  In-home companionship social visits 
  • Other social support where required
Personal Care Services

We provide personal care support services such as:

  • Care and hygiene services – showering/bathing assistance, dressing/undressing assistance, shaving, brushing teeth, applying deodorant, moisturiser, continence aids, brushing hair, make-up assistance, applying compression stockings, footwear, cleaning commodes
  • Care and support for higher-needs clients such as physical disabilities and clients requiring higher level care and supports such as the use of hoists, assisted feeding, assisted toileting and a moderate level of monitoring
  • Hygiene welfare checks and complete further personal care assistance if required
  • Care and support for clients with mental health disorders, alcohol and other drug use (AOD), clients experiencing family and domestic violence and clients at risk of homelessness
  • Respite Care in the client’s home (per hour or overnight)
  • Day respite care in the home for children or young persons
  • Making follow-up medical type appointments, filling scripts, organising further requested appointments/actions with other services, assistance with filling out legal/government forms
  • Create reminders and to-do checklists for medical appointments and other medical type activities (paper or digital form)
  • Use interpreter for Non-English speaking clients where required to inform client of appointments or other activities, follow-ups and directions for safe and effective care and support
  • Other personal care services as required
Advocacy & Wellbeing Services

We provide advocacy & wellbeing services such as:

  • Welfare checks for clients
  • Advocacy and wellbeing support for clients with mental health disorders, alcohol and other drug use (AOD), clients experiencing family and domestic violence and clients at risk of homelessness
  • Children and young persons support, advocacy and wellbeing
  • Court attendance support for children or young persons
  • Court attendance support for adults
  • Companionship support services
  • Attending, supporting and advocating for clients at appointments (medical, legal, psychological or personal) and other scheduled meetings
  • Supplying access to laptop computers, tablets or phones to enable clients to access online services such as Telehealth services or MyGov account services in their own homes
  • Monitor, action or remind clients to action their to-do checklist after creation if required
  • Other advocacy & wellbeing services where required
